Lady in the Water: Progress

As I make progress, it's starting to become clear what is going on in my pattern. You can now see the form of the woman wading in the water with her reflection as a skeleton. Very happy to be nearly done with her face; soon I can move on to the rows and rows of white that will make up the rest of the scarf.

It starts...

So I'm finally starting it up... a blog to chronicle my adventures in knitting and other crafts. And it seemed appropriate to begin this blog just as I am also beginning another knitting project:

Knitting is just better with skeletons.

It's the first pattern I've designed myself (although I've edited plenty on-the-fly), & I'm sure there will be many more to come. It seemed like a good idea to start the blog out a "first" note so I can both see my own progress and get some feedback from other knitters.
